Getting started with Arma 3
What to install, how to join, and what the first Friday looks like. Written for people who have never opened Arma 3.
Arma 3 is not a shooter you can pick up in ten minutes, and nobody expects you to. This page covers the parts you need before your first operation and nothing else.
What you need
- A legal copy of Arma 3 on Steam
- Discord, with a working microphone
- TeamSpeak 3, which is what we use in game
- About 40GB free for the modpack
Your first Friday
Briefing is at 19:00 CET. Turn up fifteen minutes early, join the channel, and someone will slot you in. You will be a rifleman, you will be told where to stand, and that is genuinely all that is expected of you.
