1. Purpose
This guide outlines the duties, responsibilities, and procedures for a Military Freefall (MFF) Jumpmaster operating within the 75th Ranger Regiment. MFF Jumpmasters are responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and combat-ready deployment of personnel and equipment via high-altitude parachute operations.
2. Role of the MFF Jumpmaster

HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening)
Exfiltration or infiltration by parachuting from high altitude (typically 12,000–25,000 ft MSL) with parachute deployment at a low altitude (usually 3,500 ft AGL or below).
HAHO (High Altitude, High Opening)
Used for covert infiltration, parachutes are deployed soon after exit, allowing parachutists to glide long distances under canopy.
4. Core MFF Jumpmaster Responsibilities
